synthetic sodium cyanide is dissolved in water, and barium chloride is added to remove sodium carbonate impurities; Zinc chloride is dissolved in water, if the solution is turbid, hydrochloric acid is added, and the pH value of 5~6 is adjusted to convert Zn0 into ZIICl2 in the solution. Place the settled zinc chloride clear solution in the reactor and add Cyanogen
The sodium chloride solution causes the reaction to produce a zinc cyanide precipitate. In order to prevent the formation of Na2 Zn( CN)4 double salt solution by dissolving the generated zinc cyanide in excess sodium cyanide solution, the addition amount of sodium cyanide solution should be controlled. The precipitate is rinsed with water to remove sodium chloride, then centrifuged and dried to obtain a finished zinc cyanide.
